This Valentines Day we will be staying home (well, that's been the theme for the last year so why change the habit now!!) So I wanted to do something special and cook a really nice meal that hubby and I can enjoy, just the two of us. I was in need of inspiration and I thought that you might be too so I reached out to some other food bloggers and boy did they come up trumps! So here are some really great vegan Valentines meal ideas and recipes, from starters to desserts, you are sure to find something that you fancy.
Starters
When eating out as a vegan I always find that restaurants fall short on decent vegan appetizers. No need to worry about that with these delicious starters to add to your romantic dinner idea list.

Gobi Manchurian
Gobi Manchurian or cauliflower Manchurian, is truly one of the most delicious appetizers of all times. It's hard not to pop the sizzling golden fried battered cauliflower florets in your mouth, even as the Manchurian sauce simmers away filling your kitchen with delectable aromas. A really special addition to a valentine's day dinner menu.

These potato tacos are so good and super easy to make as a simple weeknight dinner that sure impress everyone. You get deliciously Mexican seasoned mashed potatoes layered over corn tortillas and lightly pan-fried to make crunchy, crispy tacos. It is topped with pico de gallo and its fresh, bright flavours go well with creamy potato stuffing. If you want to mix this recipe up a little you could try using sweet potato instead of regular potato. The best part is that it is a lovely healthy meal.
Vegan arrabbiata sauce
No one does romance like the Italians so a pasta dish just had to appear here somewhere. With tomato sauce, olive oil and fresh herbs this pasta sauce is wholesome and fresh and perfect for a mediterranean diet. The king of pasta recipes in my humble opinion! Top with a vegan cheese, a sprinkling of nutritional yeast or some vegan parmesan to finish this off perfectly.
